iServe Africa

iServe Africa is a non-profit Christian organisation that exists to promote Servant Leadership and Faithful Bible Teaching mainly through facilitating leadership development and discipleship training programmes since 2007. We are registered in Kenya under the NGO’s Act of 1991 as a non-governmental organisation.

VISION :

Entrusting the gospel to the next generation for transformation of the whole person, whole churches and whole communities in the whole world.

MISSION :

We exist to connect God’s people with God’s mission through mobilization, recruitment, training, sending and supporting gospel workers for holistic transformation in Africa and beyond.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in the authority of Scripture. That the Canonical Books of the Old (39) and New Testament (27) are wholly trustworthy to guide believers in all matters of faith and doctrine; that such Scripture is the sufficient, inerrant word of God, the one rule of faith, and the final Court of Appeal.

We believe in the essential Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; His Incarnation and Virgin Birth; the truthfulness of all His utterances; the all sufficiency of His atoning Death; His Resurrection, Ascension, and Coming Again.

We believe that the death of our Lord Jesus Christ was  “full, perfect, and sufficient sacrifice, oblation, and satisfaction for the sins of the whole world ” that His sacrifice once for all offered and accepted, can never again be repeated or re-presented; and that “there is none other satisfaction for sin, but that alone”

We believe that we are by nature dead in trespasses and sins; that we are called according to God's purpose by His Spirit working in us; that through Grace we obey the call; that by faith only, on account of the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are justified freely; that we become the sons of God by adoption, to be transformed into His image, to walk in good works, and at length to attain to everlasting felicity.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only Priest and Mediator between God and man, and that the direct access of the soul to God is through His precious blood without the intervention of any sacrificial priesthood.

We believe in the Grace of God, as manifested in the Love and Righteousness of God the Father, the Redeeming work of God the Son, and the Quickening Power of God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Child of God is called to a life-long witness to the Lord Jesus Christ and to a humble following of Christ in daily life.

KEY COMMITtMENTS

iServe Africa is committed to a conservative evangelical witness. We are clear about our evangelical basis which proclaims the sovereign, triune God- Father, Son and Holy Spirit who has spoken infallibly to us through a clear and sufficient word, the Bible, and who has acted to rescue His people through the penal and substitutionary death of Jesus Christ. We are a Bible believing, cross preaching people. It is an evangelical gospel faith which we seek to promote in all we do in all our programmes and engagement with others

The ministry of iServe Africa is incarnational. We place apprentices to be immersed in the life of the local Christian community. We encourage apprentices to be part of the small, the ordinary, the routine and the long term of Christian ministry. One of our implicit aims is to expose young Christians from large, lively churches to the life of the average local church and vice versa. This has a vital contribution to offer to the apprentices – they can immerse themselves in, and identify with, communities of all ages and all backgrounds.

The ministry of iServe Africa is sacrificial. We do not follow a model of self-fulfillment. There are great gains for those involved with iServe Africa. But great gains come not by right but by grace and not through seeking fulfillment for ourselves but through joyful obedience to God and willing sacrifice for others. We believe iServe Africa has a task to encourage a counter cultural vision of sacrificial service.

The ministry of iServe Africa is pastoral. We hold our stakeholders in very high esteem and seek to provide quality support through trainings and the conferences, regular visits and other resources. Our determination is to enable our people both to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God and of His plans and purposes for their lives and also to contribute effectively during their time with us.
