Since the inception of iServe Africa in 2007, the number of programmes, staff and apprentices has continued to grow. The iSA board saw the need for establishing a Training Centre as a result of the ever present question of financial sustainability for the organization as well as the growing need for a training venue.
- An administrative unit/secretariat – a home for iServe with office space for our programmes team, partnerships and processes;
- A training facility to host our regular residential trainings for graduate apprentices, the ex-cans (gap year programme participants) and other gospel workers in faithful Bible handling and servant leadership;
- An income-generating endowment for long-term organisational stability.
In 2014 we bought a 1 acre plot of land in Ondiri, just 5 KM’s from Kikuyu town.
In October 2015 the construction began. Phase one of this construction saw the construction of the basement, as well as the ground floor. The building was put in use as from Sept 2017. The completed phase has offices, and also confrence rooms, some of which have had to serve as our hostel when we have had to host our apprentices and the TransformD Discipleship Program participants.
Phase two will see the construction of our accomodation rooms, oe floor up. We trust God for this work, and its completion.
