Partnership

iServe Africa thrives on partnerships—a dynamic network of apprentices, placements, staff, board members, individuals, families, and churches. Partnership isn’t just a funding model; it’s how we live, breathe, and grow. When done well, it’s a beautiful and exciting expression of the gospel.

The Bible gives us four pictures of partnership:

  1. A Shared Mission

Partnership is like being in business together (Luke 5:9-10). But our “business” isn’t about profit or self-promotion—it’s about advancing Christ’s kingdom (Philippians 1:3-5). Together, we make disciples and hold out the grace of Christ.

2.A Many-Stranded Rope

Like a strong rope, gospel partnership weaves together unity in Christ, shared preaching, mutual support in suffering, prayer, communication, and giving. It’s never one-way but always reciprocal.

3.A Relationship, Not a Transaction

Partnership isn’t just about financial support or newsletter —it’s a deep, loving relationship (Philippians 1:7-8). Paul’s warmth toward the Philippians reminds us that true partnership is personal and heartfelt.

4.Fighting Side by Side

We are fellow soldiers in the gospel (Philippians 2:25). Whether in Nairobi, Moyale, or London, we stand together praying, encouraging, and strengthening each other in the spiritual battle. If we’re in Christ, we’re all missionaries. Being a Christian means facing struggles but also sharing the joy of Christ and community.
