I’m Rose Mwikali, from Makueni County. I studied at Meru University of Science and Technology, where I did a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Statistics Option). After completing my studies, I joined iServe Africa in January 2026. It has been five months serving in ACK Elazar Girls’ Senior school in Karare, Marsabit County.
I serve as a Christian Union Chaplain, whose duties are to;
- Plan for Sunday services in terms of who to preach and what topics they are to preach.
- Conduct Bible Study with the students and devotions with the teachers.
- Plan for Christian Union fellowships and weekend challenges.
- Do daily night devotion, intercessory prayers, and morning glory every Sunday morning with the students.
I conduct guidance and counselling sessions and serve in the Praise and Worship team as a trainer.
I’m also a PPI teacher for the Senior school learners.
The Ministry Training Courses offered by iServe Africa are important and helpful to me as I serve in Elazar Girls’, especially the books that we are issued with after every MTC. My highlights during these courses are the morning Expositions, the different Bible study materials provided, and the interaction sessions for mentorship.
During the last April MTC, the main exposition was derived from St. Luke’s Gospel Account, training on Missions. From this exposition, I learnt that Jesus’ mission is salvation and He’s targeting the whole world, and so there’s a need for laborers. We are commissioned to go into the world and teach them to obey all that He commanded and baptizing them in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This commissioning is divine, and the mission is God’s.
I have had a good time here serving God and making new friends. It’s exciting serving amongst the girls, hearing their stories, and sharing the gospel with them. I enjoy the Praise and worship, Bible study and the guidance and counselling sessions.
I pray that I will continue to grow in my love for Christ and for His people.
