Every year, thousands of Form Four graduates across Kenya find themselves in a season of transition, awaiting results, exploring next steps, and often unsure of what the future holds. While this can be a time of uncertainty, it can also be one of the most formative seasons of life. The TransformD Programme by iServe Africa offers an opportunity to use this time meaningfully, to grow in faith, character, and purpose.
TransformD is a five-month residential discipleship programme designed to root young people in the Gospel and prepare them to live out their faith wherever God calls them next. Through a blend of Bible teaching, spiritual disciplines, service, and community life, the young men and women are equipped not just to know Christ more deeply, but also to make Him known.
One of the biggest strengths of TransformD is its intentional focus on laying a solid foundation in Christian faith. Participants are taken through key doctrinal truths that help them understand who God is, what salvation means, and how to live in a world still marked by sin. Caleb Meek, one of the participants of 2025, reflects:
“The topical series on Living Our Faith taught me that we are still in the presence of sin until Jesus comes. However, once one is saved, believers cannot lose their salvation because it is by God’s grace that we are saved. As a Christian, I am encouraged to live out the Gospel, and in all I do, Jesus should be seen in me.”
But faith is not formed in isolation. TransformD creates a vibrant community where young people learn, grow, and serve together. They form friendships rooted in Christ, relationships that often last well beyond the programme. Living in community teaches grace, humility, accountability, and teamwork, all within a nurturing and supportive environment. As Caleb adds,
“I’ve made friends with whom we can grow in spirit together, knowing God and discipling others. I’ve also enjoyed playing games, most of which I didn’t even know about!”
Beyond spiritual growth, the programme helps participants discover their gifts and calling. Daily devotions and topical teaching sessions challenge them to reflect deeply and respond to God’s word. Many come away with a stronger sense of purpose and a deeper understanding of their identity in Christ.
TransformD is not only about personal growth, but it’s also about thinking about others. Participants are encouraged to disciple others and boldly share the hope they have in Christ. Phelix Odhiambo shares:
“Through the sessions, I’ve learned who God is, why Jesus came to earth, and how I should respond to His teachings. Because of what I’ve experienced here, I’m now committed to speaking to my friends about God and sharing with them the life-changing impact this programme has had on me.”
And yes, there’s plenty of joy along the way. From games and group activities to hikes and community outreach, TransformD offers a rich, well-rounded experience that’s both fun and deeply meaningful.
For any Form Four leaver looking for more than just a break before college, TransformD offers the perfect opportunity to invest in what matters most. It’s a place to grow in faith, build friendships, gain clarity, and be equipped for a life that makes an impact for eternity.
