I am Ferdinand Mung’oni, and I love the Lord. I serve at Trinity Chapel Oyugis, where my ministry roles span across administration, teaching, evangelism, and discipleship. My administrative responsibilities include communications, accounting, planning Bible studies, overseeing Sunday school and teen ministries, and preaching.
Additionally, I actively engage in football evangelism, a key outreach program in our church. As a coach, player, and minister, I disciple coaches and players, walking with them intentionally and equipping them for the work of ministry.
Personal Growth in Ministry
Serving in these roles has challenged me to grow in leadership—making tough decisions, taking on responsibilities beyond my comfort zone, and striving for excellence and reliability. These experiences have deepened my prayer life and Bible study, teaching me that evangelism is more about modeling godliness than just preaching it.
Ministry Training Course- Romans 6-8 Exposition
Being part of the Ministry Training Course has been a privilege. A key highlight was our study of Romans 6-8, which reinforced my understanding of identity in Christ—that we are baptized into His death, dead to sin, and raised to new life. This truth reminds me daily that sin no longer has dominion over me. Even when I struggle (Romans 7), I find assurance in Romans 8:1—there is no condemnation for those in Christ. My salvation is secure, and I must continually fight sin (Romans 6).
Learning at the placement
Living and serving with different people has exposed pride, selfishness, and leadership struggles in my heart. It has also shown me my daily need for the cross. Through this journey, I have learned the value of intentional fellowship—spending time with people in their homes, forming genuine friendships, and making ministry more effective and fulfilling.
Serving at Trinity Chapel Oyugis has been a transformative experience, shaping my faith, leadership, and commitment to sharing the Gospel through both words and actions.
