I am Caleb, a sinner saved by God’s grace. Currently, I am serving as an apprentice at Trinity Chapel, Oyugis, where I actively participate in various ministries, including:
- Football coaching – Training kids in football skills while mentoring them spiritually.
- Music ministry – Leading worship, music training, and media & publicity.
- Database management – Assisting with organizing church records and resources.
My greatest highlights of my apprenticeship so far have been the many opportunities I’ve had to grow in my relationship with Christ. I’ve learned a lot about patience and self-control, especially when interacting with kids. I’ve sharpened my skills in music and coaching. Serving in different areas has also helped me to grow in my relationship with those I serve.
Through the MTC, I have gained greater clarity on the gospel through the books we’ve been reading. Studying the book of Judges helped me understand the depth of my sin and the depth of God’s love for His children. The expositional study on Romans five to eight is still my assurance in my faith journey and has deepened my understanding of my identity as a believer.
I have also been learning essential skills such as planning and resource management, and sharing the gospel through the various opportunities I have been given.
