I am Mary Wangari, an apprentice with iServe Africa under the Graduate Apprenticeship Program (GAP). I am in my second quarter of the three-quarter program, and I can confidently say that the Lord has been faithful.
I am placed at Petrimore Institute of Medical and Health Sciences, a school in Rumuruti, Laikipia County, where I serve as the Admin and teach several units to the first-year, first-semester class. Our gracious Lord has allowed me to teach His word to students and staff. We hold fellowships every Tuesday, going through the Bible together. While the experience has been challenging, it has also been gratifying.
In addition to my duties at the school, I have joined Crossroad Bible Baptist Church, where I serve in the children’s and music ministries. This has been another great opportunity for which I am thankful to our Lord Jesus.
The April Ministry Training Course (MTC) went well. Learning from our leaders through the Scriptures and practical ways to handle challenges is always a blessing. The MTC focused on “The Mission of God,” equipping us to go out and preach the gospel as our Master commanded, from Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria to the ends of the earth.
