Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I am Florida Kanana, a sinner saved by the grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Recognizing my sinfulness and hopelessness, the gospel led me to believe in Christ, my righteousness, ensuring my salvation. I rejoice that my salvation is not earned through labor but freely given, thanks to Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.
Having completed my Diploma in Dental Technology at the Kenya Medical Training College Nakuru in January 2023, I am currently serving with iServe Africa at Madogo Tumaini Academy in Tana River County. My role involves teaching grades 4 and 5, covering subjects like English, Social Studies, Creative Arts, Music, and Physical Health Education. Additionally, I serve as a Sunday school teacher in both the church and during school PPI sessions, leading Bible study sessions in both settings.
This journey has unexpectedly led me to teach, challenging me to adjust and discover hidden strengths and weaknesses positively. Serving in an area with a significant Muslim population, I view it as an opportunity to share the gospel as a missionary and witness of Christ.
I express gratitude for my daily growth in ministry. My initial desire to deeply understand the Gospel has been fulfilled through the sound teaching received during quarterly and online Ministry Training Courses. My faith is now firmly rooted in Christ, the savior, and I am convinced that the Gospel is for all, having witnessed its transformative power.
Reflecting on my journey, I appreciate the influence of faithful Bible teaching, shaping my commitment to being true to God’s word. Engaging with gospel-minded individuals has sparked a desire to advocate for the true Gospel, centered on Christ alone, our savior and judge.
Joining ministry has been a profoundly enriching experience, equipping and molding me into the best version of myself. While aspiring to be involved in long-term ministry alongside my profession, I ultimately seek God’s will.
