Resurrection

Friends of iServe Africa,

I trust that this finds you well even though we all know the challenges our country is going through right now. We continue to pray and indeed long for that time envisaged in Revelation when…

“God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.” Rev 21: 4

In the meantime we engage. We engage the powers of this world. We wrestle against the flesh, the devil and the world. We fight on – not with human weapons and strategy but on our knees in prayer, with our minds in study, with our hands in service and with our mouths in faithful proclamation of eternal truths.

Since 2007, iServe Africa has been working towards a vision of transformation of a continent through servant leadership and faithful bible teaching. We believe that the greatest challenge facing us today is lack of/poor leadership across all levels of society. Such leadership can be realised when we turn to scripture – read them carefully, apply them faithfully and teach them clearly. We see our work as contribution to bring about the much needed difference through investing in the leaders of tomorrow.

As an indigenous non profit Christian organisation, we trust God to bring our way those who would identify with and support our vision though regular commitment or one off donation. Such gifts are administered, used and accounted for carefully. Our budget is largely locally funded mainly through individuals who give small and regular gifts. It is easy to set up a gift for iServe Africa and there are many ways to do it. From MPESA, to Standing orders, PD cheques, Direct Deposit, EFT/RTGS or good old cash – the options are many (details available).

Besides giving, there are many other ways to partner with ministries such as ours. You could join our prayer mailing list, participate in our prayer gatherings, come along to events or even have us participate in one way or another in your church or place of work.

May I close by inviting you to our special lunch on Saturday 18th April 2015. We call this day our Annual Partners Reception as it is when we showcase our work, display a lot of books and resources, discuss in detail what it is we do and report on how we have used your gifts for the last Financial Year. During the day, we also ask for support towards our budget for the current year. The event will be held in our offices in Halfway House, Zambezi, Kikuyu Sub County beginning with lunch at 12 noon and then some formal business, aiming to close at about 4.30 PM. For directions to the place and to let us know if you can make it contact us.

As we reflect on the miracle of redemption this Easter, we invite you to consider supporting iServe Africa to raise more workers for the harvest field – for the labour is indeed plentiful, but the workers are few.

Many thanks for reading through.

Yours in the risen Lord,

Harrison Mungai Macharia
Team Leader
