My name is Dennis Maina Kamau. I am a born-again sinner saved by the grace of God.
I am placed in Kiambu county in Limuru specifically in a church called Living proof Baptist. I am mainly involved in the youth ministry and pastoral work. In the youth ministry, we have been doing Bible study on Sundays from 9 am – 10 am and mid-week online fellowships every Thursday from 9 pm-10 pm. Part of my pastoral duties involves preaching in the Sunday services and also doing visitations to church members. I have also been helping in teaching the teens and looking forward be involved in children’s ministry as well.
Through the training at iServe Africa, I have come to understand that the main problem in our world today and with people is sin and the only solution is the Gospel. Also, I have learned that both believers and non-believers need the Gospel. We are all sinners no one is exempt from the Gospel. This includes even the children. It’s easy to think that the children are innocent forgetting their need of being taught the Gospel, as they too are sinners in need of the Gospel.
The training has helped me realize I am in need of the Gospel daily and as a believer, I should be committed to God’s word and faithfully share the Gospel with others. Looking back on the past 6 months, I can say I made the right decision to join the apprenticeship program.
