My name is Deborah Ntiipo, a sinner saved by the grace of God alone through faith alone in Christ Jesus alone. I am an iServe Africa first-year apprentice serving at Ripples International in Meru County. A Christian Organization where its mission is to protect and promote the respect for the rights of children through a community initiatives in partnership with stakeholders as guided by the teaching of Jesus Christ.

My roles in the placement includes but not limited to the following; Serving in the finance department as a junior accountant, doing devotions with the staff at the organization every morning during the week and also sharing the word of God during Sunday service that we have with Ripple International learners.

From the time I joined apprenticeship programs up to now, I have grown in faith and become more confident in the Lord who was able to save me not because of my good works but for good works. The lord has continually been transforming and helping me realize how sinful I am, that I am person who was dead in sin and deserving the terrible and eternal wrath of God. Glory be to my Lord Jesus Christ who died for my sins; who became sin that I may become His righteousness. My prayer is that I will continue to fight sin in all aspects of my life through the power of the Holy Spirit and rely daily on God’s sanctification.

Being the first time to serve in an organization dealing with orphans and vulnerable children, God has changed my perspective about human beings and suffering that people go through. I’m learning that God is sovereign, He is in control of everything that happens to His people. Even in those dark seasons of life, there is nothing that is wasted, everything God uses to make us conform to the image of Christ. I pray that I continue to know Him more, treasure the Gospel above everything and making Christ known.
