Scripture interpreting Scripture: MTC January 2016

That was one of the big things that came out of the ministry training course week for the new apprentices last week. Whether it was interpreting the prophetic books or doing a Bible overview or examining doctrines or thinking about faithful Bible teaching or looking for how to accurately apply the truths of God’s Word, we kept finding again and again that, as Wanyeki Mahiaini put it:

“The book that we need to have to interpret the Bible; the authority that definitively tells us what the Bible means is… the Bible.”

Other quotes and tweets from MTC:

‘The name of Jesus is offensive. You introduce the name of Jesus and everything changes.’ Fidel on Acts4 #MTC

Lies of the World: Sex is essential. Sex is experience. Sex is experiment. Sex is expression of love.

‘We are so corrupt that if something comes against our sin we would rather cling to our sin than accept the solution for our sin.’ Fidel #MTC

My heart is full of praise that one so insignificant, uneducated, and ordinary in every way could be used to His glory for the blessing of His people in poor persecuted China. (Gladys Aylward)
